14 March and April | The door | 7 PM
I stand in our gate at the bottom of the staircase, on the inside of the unbreakable glass gate, and try to open the lock. There is an ambulance outside on the street. I can see the paramedics through the glass of the gate. Their fat faces have a yard like the moon. The key turns, but I struggle in vain, I can’t open the gate, and I have to let them in, or it’s too late. But the lock does not move. I call for help, but no one on the three floors listens. They can’t hear me. Of course they don’t, because I’m just loitering, empty as a fish.
My own scream alarms me.

17 April | Liliom | 7 PM
In the darkness of the big city parking garage, a beam of light falls on two silhouettes clinging to each other. “Good evening, it’s the police!” The two figures flinch, staring uncomfortably into the spotlight.
“It has to be accounted for. It doesn’t end so easily. Let’s take it one step at a time. Slowly, point by point. We have questions. But we also have time. We’ll get to it. As long as one is remembered by someone, there’s a lot to be settled.”
In 1909, Ferenc Molnár set the story of Liliom in his own time. The creators of the new performance of the Örkény Theatre imagine the images of Liliom and Juli’s love in line with the author’s original intentions, also in their own present, in a contemporary environment. Molnár’s timeless themes collide with the problems, desires, and traumas of 21st century people.
29 April | The Swan | 7 PM
The Swan is a masterpiece of comedy: witty, brilliant, bright and ironic. Beatrix, the head of a dethroned aristocratic family, aims to regain the old glory and power of the family, at any price. Her only chance to succeed is her daughter: Alexandra. She could become the wife of the crown prince of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarchy. Unfortunately, Albert seems indifferent toward Alexandra, but Beatrix knows well: the best way to call a male’s attention on a girl is by bringing in another male contender.
